Taro  Cards Design

is a tarot card series that reimagines traditional Western symbolism through the lens of Tibetan Buddhist iconography. By merging the mystical language of tarot—such as The Empress, The Hermit, and The Devil—with Tibetan Buddhist deities and philosophical concepts, I sought to highlight the universal archetypes shared across spiritual traditions. Each card visually interprets Buddhist figures as tarot personas: a compassionate Bodhisattva embodying The Star, a meditating yogi as The Hanged Man, or a wrathful deity channeling The Devil’s transformative shadow. The project bridges cultural divides, using intricate linework and vibrant colors inspired by thangka paintings to explore how wisdom, fate, and human duality are expressed in both systems. These cards invite users to engage with tarot’s introspective power through an Eastern spiritual lens, creating a dialogue between traditions.
