DESIGN WE
CAN NOT SEE
Manifesto Poster
"Celebrate the Things We Cannot See" is a manifesto poster inspired by Beatrice Galilee’s article The Design We Can’t See, critiquing the invisible systems—logistics, labor, algorithms—that shape our world yet remain overlooked. Using deliberately faint, overlapping typography and a muted color palette, I visually embodied the theme of "invisibility," making the text hover between legibility and obscurity. The fragmented layout mirrors disjointed power structures, while bold highlights draw attention to phrases like "ugly systems uphold ugly values" and "decolonize architectural history." By blending provocative quotes with disruptive design, the poster challenges viewers to confront hidden infrastructures of control, advocating for a future where design prioritizes equity over aesthetics. Printed large-scale, it serves as both a call to action and a visual metaphor for the urgent need to see—and redesign—the unseen.
